    Recruitment and Job Search Application

    Get PDF
Web based online applications become the most useful tools to access the information about job applicants and job applications are accessible at the press of a button. The progress of Internet and World Wide Web technology brings the traditional recruitment process to web based recruitment. A recruitment and job search application system allow candidates to search for jobs anywhere anytime, helping people to find suitable work relevant to their needs. This study focused on how to recruit the job seeker through the internet, where it is expensive for job seekers to find jobs in the traditional way. It is also the problem for the employers to find suitable candidates regardless of gender, location, or nationality. The main purpose of this project is to enable employers to search for suitable candidates according to the requirements of organization, as well as allowing job seekers to search and select the availability of jobs suitable for their needs. This problem is solved by using and applying the general methodology. Two types of criteria are selected and designed to improve the quality of result for job seeker and employer. The project use Java script and Database MYSQL, is tested using (Black Box Test (Functional testing)) for all functionality

Wireless Mesh Networks Based on MBPSO Algorithm to Improvement Throughput

    Get PDF
Wireless Mesh Networks can be regarded as a type of communication technology in mesh topology in which wireless nodes interconnect with one another. Wireless Mesh Networks depending on the semi-static configuration in different paths among nodes such as PDR, E2E delay and throughput. This study summarized different types of previous heuristic algorithms in order to adapt with proper algorithm that could solve the issue. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to determine the proper methods, approaches or algorithms that should be adapted to improve the throughput. A Modified Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (MBPSO) approach was adapted to improvements the throughput. Finally, the finding shows that throughput increased by 5.79% from the previous study

The impact of gamification on students learning engagement

Gamification is to use game elements in a non-game context to increase engagement between human and computer, on the other hand, to encourage in-demand for good behaviors in learning. This research tried to increase student engagements in learning by conducted Gamification technique especially in difficult subjects such as Programming Language courses. The previous work was shown that students dropped, failed, or withdrew from the course at rates of between 35% and 50%. Therefore the main objective of this study is to increase student engagements in learning programming subject, and also to measure the impact of game elements on student’s engagements. Finally, the findings have shown the score of game elements that have a good effect on student’s engagement in the experiment group

    Gamification Elements for Learning Applications

Gamification technique is getting popular to be implemented in learning or training application. It is referred to the use of game elements or game thinking in a non-game context in order to increase engagement between students and learning application. Since there are many elements of games that are identified from previous works, this study focuses on game elements from Gamification technique that positively affect learning when applied to a learning application. Therefore, the objectives of this research are to identify game elements that can be gamified in a learning application; and to verify those elements by multiple users (gamers, students, and experts). Suitable game elements are identified through literature reviews. Two approaches are used to verify these elements; interview experts and administer a survey to gamers and students. The finding of this study suggests the use of a group of game elements with three aims, (1) increase the level of fun and entertainment; (2) motivate students to challenge each other; and (3) improve gaming and learning skills. In a further study, these elements will be implemented in a learning application and its effectiveness shall be tested

Programming Learning Requirements Based on Multi Perspectives

    Get PDF
Students occasionally find it difficult to learn new programming languages. They often confront unfamiliar programming terms and having difficulty to visualize the processes that happen in computer memory. Weak students find this a burden and end up memorizing the processes without understanding them and their workings. This situation invariably leads students to obtain low grades in their programming subjects. The preliminary investigation of survey was produce in previous work; the results showed that students have experienced ineffective learning, lack of interest towards this course and lack of motivation. Therefore, the main objective of this study is to identify programming learning requirements based on previous work and verified from two perspectives (experts and students). Finally, the result was a group of requirements that should be considered in programming language cours

User experience evaluation towards interface design of digital footprint awareness application

    Get PDF
User experience (UX) towards designs of an application or product affects the way such user receives the product. UX also becomes increasingly crucial as users obtain a rating of downloaded app experience that may affect sales and improve the application performance expectations. This study aims to evaluate user experience in order to validate user needs on digital footprint awareness applications that have been developed through the triangulation technique that involves three user experience testing methods which are guessability, think aloud and observation to acquire feedback and suggestions from experts and end users for the application development. The findings indicate that an important aspect of user satisfaction within this app is the use of attractive colours, clear and appropriate texts and clear and systematic guidelines to reduce the user's cognitive strains. In addition, the emphasis is on enhancing the fun, entertaining and interface design based on using different perspectives of its use in fun, motivational challenges and skills to enhance the application usability and learning ability

The Evaluation Effect of Copper Fibre Diameter on Enhancing Compressive Strength of Pure Gypsum

The sustainability and impact of copper fibres on pure gypsum is the primary purpose of this study to investigate a combination of two kinds of copper fibres obtained from environmental waste (damaged electrical wires). The copper fibres are dividings into a fixed length of 10 mm, but with two different diameters: the first is 0.83 mm and the second is 0.63 mm, where the ratio of width to height (L/D) is 12 and 15.9, respectively, with a volume ratio Vf = 0.4 %, the ratios 0.5 and 0.6 represent the Water to Gypsum ratio (W/G) individually. Each W/G ratio has two types of mixtures which organize according to diameter. The first considers a reference mixture without copper fibres (CF), and the other is a copper fibres (CF) mixture. This work found that the compressive strength increased from adding the copper fibres to a mixture of pure gypsum. Furthermore, this increase is apparent in pure gypsum compressive strength when raising the aspect ratio because of reducing the copper fibres’ diameters. In another way, increasing ratio of W/G in the case of existing copper fibres or none may reduce a compressive strength of mixtures. Therefore, when the ratio of (W/G) drops, the significance of copper fibres may become more apparent
